Unbann Yourself:
How to unbann your penguin
Ok it’s no secret that my penguin Zeosony has had no life bans, and it’s no secret that I have been unbanned anytime. That is how I have managed to have fun on CP speak my mind and manage to stay on there to reach the age of 352 days.
So far I have helped to unbann or directly managed to get unbanned 0 penguins: The way in which I do it is a little bit dishonest, so if you don’t know please do not read any further:
First of all you need you email that you registered your penguin with, without this the people at CP can’t do anything for u.
Next (and this is the dishonest bit) you have to email them and pretend to be your concerned and worried parent (better still if u can actually get your parent to do it for u!)
Next start composing your email, CP are very aware that kids penguin accounts get hacked a lot by friends and other people and are sympathetic to this. You will notice when you are logging onto CP with your penguin and you try to save on the computer for the first time an orange notice flashes up warning you not to save if you are on a library computer or on a computer in a public place. (This is the get out clause for getting back your banned penguin!)
If your penguin was banned before this notice was put up (it only went up about 4 months ago) then you are laughing because CP did not warn you before this notice about doing this they are legally obliged to give you back your banned penguin (if you word your email correctly)
Wording your email correctly
This is very important because this is what will get you your penguin back. Think about what you are going to say and start writing. Use the scenario that someone else got onto your penguin by accident (This always works!)
Here is a copy of one of my emails that I sent to them and their reply: I will post some template examples for you to adapt and use below this email of mine, to help you on your way:
Dear Cp support,
My daughter recently without my knowledge, logged on CP in a library and used
the save button by mistake. I am aware that you have warnings on the CP site
that make children aware of this, but she did not think about the situation and
the implications at the time. Her school friend, who went on the computer
afterwards, logged onto her account and immediately out of malice, swore, in
order to get her penguin a life ban.
My daughter is a great fan of CP and as she is disabled gets a great deal of fun
out of meeting new people, without having the stigma of the label attached to
her. She is absolutely devastated to lose her penguin to say the least. I can
only promise that in future I will explain to her the consequences of leaving
her personal details on public computers and change her password as soon as i
can, if and when you can let her have it back.
I cannot tell you how grateful I would be if you could give her one more chance
and to the best of my ability I will monitor her activity on CP and make sure
that this incident or any other similar incidents are not repeated.
I appreciate that she has already had one chance, but I can assure you that in
this situation it really, really was not her fault.
Thank you.
This was their reply about two days later:
Thank you for writing in regarding your concerns for your child’s account. We
definitely take into consideration that at times children will not realize the
importance of keeping a password secure and therefore indirectly allow another
user to gain access to their account .As I looked into the account “Zeosony” I was able to verify you own this
account. I have reviewed the ban history and would be willing to give this
account one last chance.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Jardan D
